How To Make Bread

Rosemary And Whole Wheat Bread

Ingredients

  • 1.5 Cup Aata (Whole-Wheat Flour)
  • 1.5 Cup Maida (All-Purpose Flour)
  • 2 tsp dry Active Yeast
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp of Pepper
  • 1 tsp Dry Rosemary/Any Herb
  • 3-4 tbs Oil
  • Warm Water
  • 1 tsp Plain Oats (Optional)
  • Sesame seeds
  • Chia seeds (optional)
  • Milk (for brushing)

How To Make?

  • Mix Sugar, Yeast and ½ cup of luke-warm Water and let it activate.
  • In a bowl, add both kind of Flours, Salt, Pepper, Herb and mix well.
  • Now add the yeast-and-sugar-mixture to the flour mixture once activated.
  • Knead the dough with more luke-warm Water until smooth.
  • Now finish the dough with some oil.
  • Put the dough in the baking mould and leave it for 20-25 minutes for proofing.
  • Now brush your bread dough with Milk and sprinkle Oat and Sesame-seeds.
  • Bake at 160° for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

Basil And Garlic Baguette

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Yeast
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 Cup Warm water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 8-10 Fresh Basil Leaves/ 1.5 tsp Dried Basil
  • 10 Garlic Cloves (finely chopped)/ 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • Milk ( to brush)
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds

How To Make?

  • Mix Sugar, Yeast and ½ cup of luke-warm Water.
  • Now in a bowl mix Flour, Salt, Basil, Garlic, Pepper.
  • Now with the help of yeast-and-sugar-mix and more luke-warm Water, knead the dough.
  • Finish the dough with oil and make the baguette shape.
  • Brush Oil and Milk over the baguette and sprinkle Sesame-seeds and leave it 20 minutes for proofing.
  • Now bake the dough at 160° for 20-25 minutes .

  1. Kartik i saw ur recipe of brrad where u hv given only single proofing of bread..whereas i hv always found double proofing in other recipes..does this makes a difference…and also at which stage do u add oil in the dough…plz explain how u do it
