Tea Cakes Recipe

Apricot and Date Tea Cake

Ingredients

  • 1.75 cups of All-Purpose Flour
  • ½ cup Oil
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • Salt
  • 10 chopped seedless Apricots
  • 10 chopped seedless Dates
  • Vanilla Essence

How To Make?

  • In a bowl, sieve Flour, Baking Soda, Salt and Baking Powder
  • In another bowl mix together Oil, Water, Sugar, Vanilla Extract and Vinegar .
  • Now add the dry sieved ingredients into the liquid in three parts.
  • Whisk until you get a smooth batter .
  • Once your batter is smooth, mix in chopped dates and apricot.
  • Bake at 170°C for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Note: If you are using a deep and a big mold then the time can vary up to  30-35 minutes, while if you use muffin shapes then the time can reduce up to 13-16 minutes.

Coffee and Walnut Tea Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • Salt
  • 2 tsp Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tsp Coffee
  • 10-15 Walnuts

How To Make?

  • In a bowl, sieve Flour, Baking Soda, Salt, Baking Powder and Cocoa Powder.
  • In another bowl, mix together Oil, Water, Sugar and Vinegar
  • Now add the dry sieved ingredients into the liquid in three parts.
  • Whisk until you get a smooth batter.
  • Once your batter is smooth, mix in chopped walnuts and coffee.
  • Bake at 170°C for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Note: If you are using a deep and a big mold then the time can vary up to 30-35 minutes, while if you use muffin shapes then the time can reduce up to 13-16 minutes.
